Top o’ the mornin’ to ya. Yes, once again the wee little folk in the Teddy Bear class have our traditional Irish music playing and are wearing our personally crafted shamrock headbands for our ultra-green party. Unfortunately we didn’t catch a leprechaun this year—those little rascals are just too darn quick. They also made a big mess in our play room and left us some rather delicious green candy treats, which made us all a bit giddy. We began our green celebration by playing a scintillating shamrock match game and earning treat bags and tossing a magic gold coin to win a leprechaun hat and a shamrock necklace. Then we crafted together an adorable leprechaun door hanger and listened to the stories: “Lizzie the Lazy Leprechaun, The Luckiest St. Patrick’s Day Ever and Green eggs and Ham.” Then we feasted on green cream cheese celery sticks, green Jell-O, green chips with green dip, Lucky Charms cereal, frosted shamrock cookies, scrumptious festive cupcakes and green punch—Then we enjoyed a special St. Patrick’s Day movie: The luck of the Irish. Happy St. Patrick’s Day! May the luck of the Irish be with you all today!
