Happy Easter!
The Easter Bunny came early to Kids First. He filled our Easter Baskets and, according to his note, hid candy-filled eggs for us to search for—yay!!! Our party started off by creating adorable “Easter Egg Door Hangers”. And then with the “Bunny Hop” song resonating in the background our hopping feet did the Bunny Hop Dance all the way to play “Pin the Tail on the Bunny” where we got to win a Treat Bag & A Peeps Stick. And then we did the movement activity “I am Bunny Pink Ears” earning a Chocolate Bunny. And then we engaged in a romping good time playing “Bunny Bingo” and “Bunny Match” earning a Glitter Putty Egg & Soft Ducky Friend. Then it was on to our special snack feast of carrots, cheddar stuffed pretzels, white cheese-it’s, fresh pineapple, strawberry sticks, bunny gummy’s, spring cupcakes, chocolate pudding and pink tropical punch. After we gorged our little bodies we remembered that the Easter bunny had visited, and hunted for Easter eggs! Sugar high here we come!
Happy Easter to all you little bunnies out there.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
Happy St. Patrick’s Day! The wee little folk in the Teddy Bear class once again had our traditional Irish music playing all morning, and proudly wore our personally crafted shamrock headbands most of the day. Unfortunately, we didn’t catch a leprechaun this year—I know! But boy did we try. Those little rascals are just too quick. And, like last year they also made a big mess in our playroom—Ugh! But they did leave us some rather delicious green rainbow candy treats, which made their antics forgivable. Our festivities included a wild shamrock match game, earning treat bags, and a find the Shamrock search game, winning blinking necklaces. And then after that we watched Green Eggs and Ham and earned cute leprechaun stickers. We also listened to the story, “The Luckiest St. Patrick’s Day Ever.” And then we feasted on green cream cheese celery sticks, green apples, green pears, green guacamole chips with green dip, green snowballs, green gummy frogs, Lucky Charms cereal, frosted shamrock cookies, scrumptious festive shamrock sprinkled cupcakes and green juice.
May the luck of the Irish be with you all!
Happy Valentine’s Day!
Once again we are celebrating our pinkalicious affair by reading the stories: “Pinkalicious Flower Girl “ and “Valentine Cats”. And then we decorated Valentine Craft Bags and Heart Cookies earning a Mailbox full of treats. We also played a riveting Valentine Match Game; earning a special Monkey Friend! Afterward we sang “I Love You” with Barney and checked out our special valentines from our classmates. Then it was on to devouring sweethearts, sprinkled cupcakes, heart cookies, blue Jell-O, red juicy apples, fruit roll-ups, and fruit punch. And then we proceeded to enjoy watching a valentine movie: Madly Madagascar! Then we headed outside to play “Find the Valentine.” earning a Treat Bag! Thank you to all the kids and their parents, the Valentines were spectacular this year!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Cheers to a fabulous, magical and prosperous New Year. 2020 is going to rock!

Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas & Feliz Navidad from the KidsFirst LearningCenter Teddy Bears!
🧸🎄🎁🎅🎶🎉
WOW! What an outrageous celebration we had. We started out by creating an adorable Holiday TOTE BAG. And then off to hear the LITTLE CHRISTMAS ELF story and sing the Winnie the Pooh version of “The Twelve Days of Christmas.” And then we added our Santa hats to sing Raffi’s “It Must Be Santa,” which motivated us to put on our bell adorned reindeer antlers and perform Jim Reeves “Jingle Bells.” This encouraged us to dance around the tables to “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.” And then we were motivated to let the games begin. We first played THE PIZZA WALK (earning a gift bag present), and then a HOLIDAY MEMORY GAME (earning an over-sized Candy Cane) and then a CHRISTMAS BEAN BAG TOSS (winning a chocolate Santa). Then it was time for our HI PIZZA MAN story to prepare us for our surprise delivery person—who wasn’t a Pizza Snake like we suspected. And then on to our huge feast of; Pizza, oranges, pears, raisins, peanuts, Cheetos, and tortilla chips, applesauce, Danimal Smoothies, holiday cookies, and apple juice. Our bellies were more than satisfied. To wound down the day’s festivities we watched “Olive the Other Reindeer” opened our stockings that Santa filled last night and then heard the adorable story SIX SNOWY SHEEP and then finally took a long hard winters nap. As the big man in the red suit always says, “Merry Christmas to all…and to all a good night.”
Happy Thanksgiving
Happy Turkey Day, little turkeys! We created PINE CONE TURKEY CENTERPIECES to take home. For our events; we played a TURKEY MATCH GAME, winning a TREAT BAG, and then we sat down to savor a yummy feast of turkey, cranberry, corn on the cob, olives, raisins, mixed nuts, blueberries, juicy apples, oranges, cheddar cheese sticks, cherry tomatoes, baby carrots, cookies, muffins, fruit roll-ups, chips, cake & pumpkin pie (with whipped cream), cranberry juice and eggnog. And then we got to relax our little turkey bellies by watching A Charlie Brown’s Thanksgiving and The Mayflower Voyagers. This year I am once again thankful for all of my preschool parents (past and present) who have supported me on my relocation to Chico, their kids who I miss every day and to my new preschool parents who have been super supportive and conscientious, raising incredible, funny and intelligent little turkeys; full of character and charm. I am grateful to all of you and look forward to the year ahead. Thank you!!!

And then winding down the activities with Alvin & the Chipmunks meet the Wolfman made it all that.
