Nailed it. HAPPY HALLOWEEN to all you sweet little monsters out there! We had another fabulous HALLOWEEN BASH in the KIDS FIRST Teddy Bear Class. We created Spider Magnets and delicious, spooky Grave Digger Treats. A special thank you to Elizabeth Porter, who provided the craft idea and the adorable shovels! We also heard our hilarious Skeleton Hiccups book, and then danced to the Monster Mash at our Pumpkin Walk contest, winning a Pumpkin Light Stake, played a Witch Hat Ring Toss Game, earning a Treat Bag, and then spun around in circles for our Pin the Nose on the Big Orange Pumpkin, earning an adorable Mini Pumpkin! The Purple People Eater, Witch Doctor and Walking Through the Cemetery songs brought us into the Halloween spirit while we feasted on our Halloween appropriate snacks; red delicious fall apples w/peanut butter, candy corn pineapple, red vampire chips, ghost pretzels, Halloween cupcakes, fruit roll-ups, chocolate milk & purple people eater juice. And then winding down the activities with Alvin & the Chipmunks meet the Wolfman made it all that.

PINK HOUSE PURPLE COW
I did it…finally! I created a Yearly Preschool Curriculum Book. It is available via amazon.com (all proceeds benefit Kids First Learning Center). https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1693413779/ref=ox_sc_saved_image_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1
Are you a parent?
Are you a preschool teacher?
Are you a T-K (Transitional Kindergarten) teacher?
Are you in college taking E.C.E (Early Childhood Education) classes?
Are you curious what kids do at a preschool center?
If yes to any of those questions then this book is ideal for you.
Pink House, Purple Cow is a yearly curriculum book—using The Big Kid Method—that allows children to have creative expression while developing knowledge as well as life skills. Mental challenges via cognitive aerobics, science experiments, music exposure, mathematical games, art therapy, language activities, social/emotional lessons, gross and fine motor physical growth exercises are provided through teacher directed and child directed activities. Each day specific areas are targeted with repetition and consistency as the key.

The Big Kid Method has been in practice for over twenty years at Kids First Learning Center with a remarkable success rate; having the majority of Pre-Kindergarten graduates soar to the top of their class in kindergarten. Established in 1999 with a five star rating on greatschools.org and yelp.com, it’s an exclusive, private, structured, quality, academic and nurturing childcare program that is designed and structured identical to a center-based program.

Hawaiian Luau!
Aloha! Our annual—HAWAIIAN LUAU—for all children who’ve earned their “Pin of Honor” was a tropical blast! With traditional Hawaiian music playing in the background we began our festivities by playing with Beach Balls and then creating fabulous looking Sun Visors earning a Treat Cup of Prizes and a Beach Drink Cup. And then we participated in a Limbo event & performed our Hula Dance routine. After that, we sang our wonderful Humuhumunukunukuapu’a song about the famous Hawaiian fish while wearing our Fish Hats earning a Flamingo and Pineapple friend. This led us to our feast of Hawaiian Pizza, Submarine Sandwiches, Barbecue Chips, Colorful Jell-O, Crunchy Rice Rolls, Danimals Yogurt, Fruit Kabobs, Sprinkled Cupcakes and Hawaiian Punch. YUM!
Happy Cinco de Mayo!
Happy Cinco de Mayo! A reason to devour chips and guacamole🥑…I’m in. We’re a school that believes in no holiday left behind—so Cinco de Mayo may be on Sunday this year, but we’ll still find a way to celebrate it at school. We enjoyed Mariachi music throughout the day and created pet rocks, and wearing our Cinco de Mayo hand-made headbands we danced the Mexican Hat Dance, earning a treat bag. SO FUN! Then we satisfied our palates with cheese quesadilla’s topped with sour cream, green apples, orange Jell-O, chips with fresh salsa, bean and Nacho Cheese dip, brownies and orange juice—a delicious experience. Later we get to enjoy Danimals, and even get to have Tamales at lunch thanks to Christine Hagedorn, who made this holiday feel even more authentic. Thank You!
HAPPY EASTER!
Happy Easter from KidsFirst LearningCenter.
🐣🍭🐰😉🥚👯♂️😎Get this, the Easter bunny was already here! I know! We are super excited. He filled our baskets and, according to his note, hid candy-filled eggs for us to search for—yay!!! Before our hunt we created adorable “Easter Bunny Refrigerator Magnets” and nifty “Easter Tote Bags”. And then with the “Bunny Hop” song resonating in the background we hopped the Bunny Hop all the way to play “Pin the Tail on the Bunny” and performed the movement activity “I am Bunny Pink Ears” earning a gift: a chocolate bunny treat. And then we engaged in a romping good time playing “Bunny Bingo” and “Bunny Match”, earning a soft bunny friend. Then we had the best decorating Easter Cookie contest, thanks to Aiden’s mom, Christine Hagedorn. Thank you for the sweet donation—it was so much fun! Then we enjoyed our special snack feast of carrots with Ranch dip, colorful eggs we dyed, cheddar bunny crackers, spring cupcakes, mandarin oranges and pink lemonade. After we gorged our little bodies we remembered that the Easter bunny had visited and hunted for Easter eggs! Sugar high here we come…
Happy Easter to all you little bunnies out there.
HAPPY ST. PATRICK’S DAY!
Top o’ the mornin’ to ya. Yes, once again the wee little folk in the Teddy Bear class with our traditional Irish music playing and wearing our personally crafted shamrock headbands enjoyed a Go-Green party. Unfortunately, even though we created the fanciest leprechaun trap, ever, we did NOT catch a leprechaun. I know! Next year, folks, next year. Oh and boy did our leprechaun make a big mess on our playground, but he made up for it by leaving us some delicious rainbow treats. We had so much fun painting our St. Patrick’s Day Sun Catchers, playing Toss the Magic Gold Coin, Find the Shamrock and a St, Patrick’s Day Match Game earning prizes, treat bags and bubbles! Then we watched Green eggs and Ham and feasted on green cream cheese celery sticks, green applesauce squeezes, green Jackfruit puffs, green chips with green dip, Lucky Charms cereal, sprinkled shamrock cookies, scrumptious St. Paddy’s cupcakes and green Kiwi lemonade punch—and a special thanks to Christine Hagedorn for the yummy breakfast muffins. They LOVED them!
Happy St. Patrick’s Day! May the luck of the Irish be with you all!
20th Anniversary
I am eternally grateful to every parent who has ever enrolled their child in my preschool center. Because of wonderful and supportive parents I have been able to follow my passion and do what I love. Here’s to 20 successful years in business. I look forward to many more fabulous years teaching.
Thank you!

Happy Valentine’s Day!
Our Pinkalicious affair was quite eventful. We played a riveting Valentine Match Game, and a Hide the Heart Scavenger Hunt, and then had our own Painted Cellars event painting with our own mini easels—adorable! We also had a Valentine Cookie Decorating Contest and won prizes—a special Monkey Friend and a cute mini Valentine Mailbox. After that we sang “I Love You” with Barney and checked out our special Valentines from our classmates. Then it was on to devouring Sweethearts, Heart Sprinkled Cupcakes, Vanilla Cupcake Fish Crackers, Strawberry Pink Danimal Yogurt, Cheese Sticks, Red Delicious Apples, Red Jell-0, Strawberry Sensation Fruit Roll-Ups and Chillin’ Cherry Juice Drinks. And then we proceeded to enjoy watching a Valentine movie: Madly Madagascar. A special thank you to Christine for the Be My Valentine Heart Cakes—they were a big hit! And I LOVE my Teddy Bear and cool shaped coffee mug—it will get lots of use. And Thank you Heather for the heart felt dark chocolate bar and considering me an Endangered Species—I am honored. Have a Beary Happy Valentine’s Day all you love-bugs out there. Love, the Teddy Bear Class.
