Top o’ the Morning! The wee little folk in the Teddy Bear class had our traditional Irish music playing all morning, and proudly wore our personally crafted shamrock headbands most of the day. But no, we did not catch a leprechaun this year—I know! We really had high hopes. Those little rascals are just too quick. And they once again made a big mess on the playground! They did leave us some rather delicious green rainbow candy treats however, which made up for their shenanigans. We started our day by Decorating a Shamrock Cookie & Created a Silly Leprechaun Owl Magnet Craft. Then we Played a Lucky Coin Toss Game (winning a Leprechaun Toy & St. Patrick’s Day Glasses), a St. Patrick’s Day Bingo Game (winning a Rainbow Lollipop), and a St. Patrick’s Day Memory Game (winning a Treat Bag). We got to also watch Green Eggs and Ham and listen to the story “Lizzie the Lazy Leprechaun” before feasting on green Jell-O, green apples, green applesauce drinks, Lucky Charms cereal, green cream cheese filled celery sticks, cheddar cheese sticks, avocado chips with guacamole dip, frosted shamrock cookies, scrumptious festive shamrock cupcakes, and rainbow fruit roll-ups , followed by green apple juice. And then we enjoyed a special St. Patrick’s Day movie.
